Tuesday wasn’t a great day for the French players at the Roland Garros. Maxime Hamou was banned from the premises after he sexually assaulted a journalist; Laurent Lokoli refused a handshake after he lost a five-setter against Klizan.
What happened?
Martin was leading 4-2 in the fifth set battling against his opponent and a hostile crowd. Lokoli hit a double fault that gave a decisive 5-2 lead to his opponent. Klizan celebrated after the double fault, and the Frenchman didn’t get it well to refuse the handshake at the end of the match.
That’s not great.
The “handshake” is the perfect summary of Klizan vs Lokoli pic.twitter.com/a4F1KIHeSv
