Juventus forward Arkadiusz Milik was among the many spectators at the Inalpi Arena on Sunday night, where he witnessed Carlos Alcaraz defeat Alex de Minaur in straight sets to begin his ATP Finals campaign. For Milik, the evening was more than just a night off—it was a chance to enjoy a different kind of elite athleticism and meet one of the sport’s brightest stars.
“It was a very, very nice experience, a beautiful experience,” Milik told the ATP Tour “Basically it was my second time to see him play and he’s an amazing player, nothing more to say.”
Admiring Alcaraz’s qualities
Though Milik admitted he isn’t a die-hard tennis follower, he expressed genuine appreciation for Alcaraz’s style and presence on court. The Polish striker, known for his own technical precision and physical strength, found plenty to admire in the 22-year-old Spaniard’s game.
“I am following them and watching him play with his qualities is something special,” Milik said. “It’s always a pleasure to see these kind of players play and it’s nice to be here.”
Speed, power, and presence
What stood out most to Milik was Alcaraz’s explosiveness and control—traits that resonate with any top-level athlete. Watching from the stands, he was struck by the Spaniard’s ability to combine speed and power with finesse.
“He is quite fast. His reaction is amazing and his power is nice to watch,” Milik noted. “I am here just as a simple fan. I am enjoying watching tennis, so it makes me happy.”
A crossover moment in Turin
Milik’s presence at the ATP Finals highlights the growing crossover between elite athletes across sports. As tennis continues to draw global attention, stars from football and beyond are increasingly seen courtside, appreciating the intensity and artistry of the game. For Milik, the night was a reminder of the joy that comes from watching greatness—no matter the sport.
