For Musetti, Saturday’s final is more than just a shot at silverware. It’s a chance to end a frustrating run of losses in finals and to qualify for the season-ending ATP Finals on home soil.

“Tomorrow… I’m not really lucky with the finals in these past years,” Musetti said. “It’s 3 years that I’m losing in finals. Hopefully the story will change starting from tomorrow.”

Two Goals, One Match

Musetti enters the final with two clear objectives. Winning the Athens title would mark a breakthrough moment, while also propelling him into the elite eight for Turin.

“I will play for 2 goals. One is to win the title here. The other you probably know,” he said with a smile.

Facing the World No. 1

Standing in his way is Novak Djokovic, a 24-time Grand Slam champion and one of the most dominant players in the sport’s history. Musetti is embracing the challenge and the occasion.

“I’m looking forward to playing this match against a legend,” he said. “It’ll be really nice for the crowd.”

A Defining Moment Awaits

The Athens final offers Musetti a rare opportunity to shift the momentum of his career. A win would not only end his finals drought but also earn him a place among the world’s best in Turin. For Djokovic, it’s another chance to add to his legacy. For Musetti, it could be the start of something bigger.
