Horrible stuff in Paris!
Maxime Hamou was awarded a wild card at the recent French Open, and he didn’t honor that… at all!
After he lost to Cuevas in the first round (6-3 6-2 6-4), the Frenchman was interviewed by Maly Thomas live on Eurosport. Things got crazy when Hamou got the journalist in a headlock trying to kiss her, and a cheeky hand was also going where it shouldn’t. After this disgusting episode, the player has been banned from the Roland Garros, and the French Tennis Federation ordered an investigation.
Maly Thomas: I would have punched him
The journalist was definitely not pleased by what has happened to comment
“If I had not been live on air, I would have punched him. It does not give a good picture of him; he destroys himself by doing this.”
Maxime Hamou’s apology
The disgraced player posted this apology on Facebook
“I offer my deep apologies to Maly Thomas if she feels hurt or shocked by my attitude during her interview. I have just spent a magnificent week here at Roland Garros… and I expressed my overflow of enthusiasm crudely towards Maly, who I know and respect sincerely. I’m still learning every day from my mistakes to become a better tennis player and a better person.”
That was bad!
