Jo-Wilfried Tsonga wins his 3rd title of the season in Lyon (the 15th of his great career).
The Frenchman had to fight hard against Tomas Berdych in the final to defeat the Czech 7-6 (2) 7-5. After this match, Tsonga has a perfect 3-0 record in the 2017 finals after he won Rotterdam and Marseille.

Jo-Wilfried was elated also with the fact that this was his first title on clay court (definitely not his favorite surface). The Frenchman commented
“I am very happy. The first title on clay court. It is now added to my CV and I can move on. I am going to enjoy this title today and tomorrow. It has been a great week overall.”
Tsonga will now go to Paris where he will face Olivo in his France Open first round.
