The 2025 WTA Finals will take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from November 1 to 8 at the King Saud University Indoor Arena.
Two Groups, Eight Contenders
The tournament features the top eight singles players of the season, divided into two round-robin groups named after legends of the sport.
Group Steffi Graf includes Aryna Sabalenka, Coco Gauff, Jessica Pegula, and Jasmine Paolini. Sabalenka enters as the world No. 1, while Gauff returns as the defending champion. Pegula’s consistency and Paolini’s breakthrough season add intrigue to the group.
Group Serena Williams features Iga Swiatek, Amanda Anisimova, Elena Rybakina, and Madison Keys. Swiatek leads the group with her dominant baseline game, while Rybakina and Keys bring power and experience. Anisimova’s return to form adds unpredictability.

Riyadh Hosts the Season Finale
This marks the second consecutive year the WTA Finals are held in Riyadh, part of a multi-year agreement aimed at expanding the sport’s global reach. The indoor hard court setting provides a fast-paced environment, favoring aggressive play and tactical versatility.
Players React Ahead of the Event
“It’s always special to play in the Finals. Every match feels like a final,” said Iga Swiatek during media day in Riyadh.
“I’m excited to be back and ready to compete against the best,” added Coco Gauff, who won the title in 2024.
Format and Expectations
Each player will face the other three in their group, with the top two advancing to the semifinals. The final will be played on November 8. With Grand Slam champions, rising stars, and seasoned competitors in the mix, the 2025 WTA Finals promise high drama and elite tennis.

Aryna Sabalenka in 2025
Ranked world no.1, Aryna played her last match on the 11th of October when she was overcome by world no.5 Jessica Pegula 2-6 6-4 7-6(2) in the semifinal in Wuhan (draw).
This season the Belarussian owns an overall 59-11 match record. Aryna clinched 4 titles in 2025 in Brisbane, Miami, Madrid and U.S. Open. The Belarussian was the finalist at the Australian Open, Indian Wells, Stuttgart and French Open.
