Murray: “I struggle with my motivation”

Andy Murray has achieved a lot in his career. The Briton has put his country back on the tennis map after winning a historical title in Wimbledon in 2013 and the Davis Cup in 2014. Andy has won 45 single titles, 15 ATP1000, 3 slams, and he has become the new world no.1 after a triumphal run in the second part of 2016.

Why he is struggling

At 30 years of age and with a lovely family, Andy is finding it difficult to keep his motivation. This is what he said during a recent interview in Paris

“I got to number one in the world at the end of last year, and there’s sometimes been this year where it has been difficult to keep up the motivation and set new goals

But over the last seven, eight years of my career I always wanted to perform my best and play my best tennis at the grand slams, and that’s still the case now,

I always feel extra motivation when I come to a slam even if I have been playing badly.”
