Zverev reaches the Rome final!

Sascha Zverev is ready for greatness.

The German rising star reaches the final in Rome after he defeated his good friend John Isner 6-4 6-7 (5) 6-1. Sascha seems to be more and more the best representative of the so-called nextgen. Both Isner and Djokovic have great words for the German.

Isner’s opinion

“If (Sascha) does win, it would be a very cool story for tennis,” Isner commented. “He was gifted with a lot of ability. But he doesn’t let it go to waste at all. I have seen it in the offseason, as well. That’s what it takes to be incredibly good and one of the greats.”

Djokovic’s opinion

“It’s a great beginning of his professional career he had so far, and he deserves to be in the final,” Djokovic added. “But I’m going to make sure he doesn’t get his hands on that trophy tomorrow.”

The final vs. Djokovic

Sascha will play a resurgent Novak Djokovic in the final. The world no.2 has disintegrated Dominic Thiem 6-1 6-0 in the other semi-final. They have never played each other so far.
