Novak Djokovic may soon be back in action following his recent withdrawal from the Paris Masters. The Serbian champion is currently focused on recovering from physical issues that intensified during his time in Shanghai. His brother, Djordje Djokovic, offered insight into Novak’s condition and mindset.
“He feels good now, he is doing everything in his power to be in the best possible condition and play in Athens,” Marko said, confirming the player’s determination to return.
Athens holds special meaning
Djokovic has expressed a strong desire to compete in Athens, emphasizing the emotional connection he feels with the Greek fans. His team is working closely with him to ensure he’s physically ready for the event, which could mark an important step in his late-season campaign.
“He has said how important it is for him to play in this competition, in front of the Greek fans,” Djordje added.
Focused on preparation and recovery
Known for his meticulous approach to training and rehabilitation, Djokovic is applying the same intensity to his current recovery process. His brother praised his discipline and strategic mindset.
“He is a mastermind when it comes to preparation and recovery, and that is why he is the best,” Marko commented.
As the tennis world watches closely, Djokovic’s potential return in Athens could reignite his momentum heading into the final stretch of the season.
