Zverev happy after reaching Rome milestone

Sascha Zverev is getting more and more milestones.

The German has reached the semi-final in Rome after he defeated Milos Raonic 7-6 (4) 6-1 after scoring 73 points vs. 53. After this match, Sascha reached an ATP1000 for the first time in his young career to also cement his leadership in the ATP race to Milan (the special rankings for the 21-and-under players).

Another stepping stone. ZVEREV

Sascha is currently ranked no.17, and he will definitely gain some more places after this week. By the way, the German is particularly happy for being in the semi-final

“It’s another stepping stone in my career,” commented Zverev. “I feel like I have played very well today. I returned very well.

So I’m happy to be in the semis and playing John tomorrow, who I know very well from our Saddlebrook days. We practice quite a lot together in the off season and do quite a lot of stuff together. It’s going to be a great match. I’m excited for both of us.”
