Rafael Nadal and Dominic Thiem will face each other once again. The King of Clay has defeated twice the Austrian during the last 20 days in the Barcelona and Madrid final in straight sets on both occasions.
On Friday they will play each other again in the Rome quarters. Rafa will be much fresher that his upcoming opponent after he won the first match following Almagro retirement when Rafa was leading 3-0. In the next round, Rafa beat Sock 6-3 6-4. On the other side, Dominic, struggled much more in the 3rd round after he defeated Sam Querry 3-6 6-3 7-6 (7) after saving three match points.
