Bouchard beats Kerber to reach the Madrid quarters

Genie Bouchard seems to have found her way back in Madrid after she reached the quarters following his defeat of Angelique Kerber.

Genie was in complete control of the match soon after she recovered from a 1-2 deficit in the opener to win 10 of the following 11 games. Eventually, Kerber had to retire with a hamstring injury when she was 6-3 5-0 down. The German barely managed to hold her tears when leaving the court.
