Argentine tennis star Fran Cerundolo delivered a powerful display at the Ultimate Tennis Showdown (UTS) in Hong Kong, defeating American Jenson Brooksby with scores of 20-5, 10-12, 15-9, 17-7 to win the event’s Zeus Trophy. The match, held at Kai Tak Arena, showcased Cerúndolo’s aggressive baseline play and adaptability to UTS’s fast-paced format.
“I’m super happy,” Cerundolo said after lifting the trophy, as reported by the South China Morning Post. His victory marked his first UTS title and secured his spot in the Grand Final in London, scheduled for December 5–7, 2025.
A breakthrough in the UTS format
The UTS Showdown in Hong Kong featured eight elite players competing in a modified format designed to enhance entertainment and speed.
