Carlos Alcaraz, one of the most prominent figures in modern tennis, recently shared his travel preferences in a video for ElPozo Alimentación, the Spanish food brand he represents. Despite his global fame and financial success, the 22-year-old revealed that he doesn’t always opt for first or business class when flying.

“It depends. On long journeys, yes, in business. There is first class and then business class. When I have to travel overseas or on quite long trips, I always travel in business class,” Alcaraz said. For shorter flights, typically under three or four hours, he’s comfortable flying economy like most passengers.

Rest is key to performance

Alcaraz emphasized that his choice of business class is driven by the need to rest properly during long-haul travel. “If I don’t sleep and rest, it affects me later. Then I am tired, and it’s complicated to recover. On trips that last three or four hours, it’s not a problem,” he explained.

This insight highlights the physical demands of professional tennis and the importance of recovery between tournaments. With a packed schedule that includes international events across continents, managing fatigue is essential for maintaining peak performance.

Balancing comfort and simplicity

Alcaraz’s comments reflect a grounded mindset, balancing luxury with practicality. While many top athletes consistently travel in premium cabins, Alcaraz chooses based on necessity rather than status. His approach resonates with fans who admire his humility and discipline.

The video also offered a glimpse into his off-court personality, showing that even elite athletes make thoughtful decisions about everyday routines. His openness adds to the growing image of Alcaraz as a relatable and focused competitor.

Back in action after injury

Following a brief injury break that kept him out of the Shanghai Masters, Alcaraz has returned to competition and is set to play in the Six Kings Slam in Riyadh. After winning the Japan Open and recovering from an ankle issue, he’s now preparing to face top rivals in the exhibition event.

Fans are eager to see how he performs after his recovery, and his travel habits suggest he’s doing everything possible to stay sharp both physically and mentally.
