Ukrainian tennis star Marta Kostyuk recently collaborated with Vogue Ukraine for a visually striking tennis-themed photoshoot. The editorial featured Kostyuk in a variety of athletic and fashion-forward outfits, blending sport and style with elegance and intensity.

In one standout image, she appears mid-backhand in a crisp white tennis outfit, capturing motion and focus. Another shot shows her drenched in sweat, wearing a blue hoodie layered over a white top, evoking the raw energy of post-match exhaustion. She also posed in a blue bikini while seated on a bench, and in a black-and-white portrait wearing a sleeveless training outfit, highlighting her athletic form and minimalist aesthetic.

The shoot was a collaborative effort involving stylist Victoria Filipova, set designer Nataly Tiuleneva, video editor Marina Shulikina, makeup and hair artist Sasha Vetrova assisted by Yuliia Ostapchuk, and lighting expert Oleksiy Kuzmenko. Production was overseen by Marina Sandugei-Shyshkina and Oleg Patselya.

Fashion meets performance

Kostyuk’s fashion choices have evolved since her seven-year partnership with Nike ended. Now a Wilson ambassador, she wears their Sportswear line, which she described in a previous interview with InStyle: “I don’t think [my on-court style] differs that much [from my everyday style] — it’s just more sporty. But I still try to keep it more feminine and different from others.”

Her Vogue Ukraine shoot reflects that philosophy, merging athleticism with individuality and a touch of glamour.

A strong and steady 2025 season

In her interview with Vogue, conducted by Alyona Ponomarenko, Kostyuk looked back on her 2025 season with pride. She competed in 19 tournaments, finishing with a 26-19 singles record. Her best Grand Slam result came at the US Open, where she reached the Round of 16. She also made it to the third round of the Australian Open before falling to Paula Badosa.

Throughout the year, she consistently advanced through draws, often only stopped by top-tier opponents such as Aryna Sabalenka, Jessica Pegula, Zheng Qinwen, and Elena Rybakina. Her most recent appearance in Wuhan ended in a first-round loss to Karolína Muchová.

Team Ukraine and personal growth

Kostyuk also contributed to Team Ukraine’s run to the quarterfinals of the Billie Jean King Cup, showcasing her commitment to national representation. In her Vogue interview, she shared how the season left her feeling energized and emotionally balanced: “To be honest, in my entire career I have never felt so fresh at the end of the season.”

Beyond tennis, she opened up about personal topics including depression, trauma, skincare routines, and emotional management, revealing a deeper layer of resilience and self-awareness.

Marta Kostyuk continues to evolve both on and off the court, embracing her role as a modern athlete who blends performance, style, and introspection.
