He defeated his cousin Arthur Rinderknech 4–6, 6–3, 6–3 in the final, becoming the first player representing Monaco to win an ATP Tour singles title. His semifinal victory over Novak Djokovic stunned the tennis world and marked a turning point in his career.

Back in Monaco, Vacherot was welcomed by Prince Albert II at the Monte-Carlo Country Club. The Prince, a longtime supporter of Monegasque athletes, expressed his admiration for the young champion’s achievement. “It’s simply stunning.
