Mona Barthel stuns everyone after winning her fourth career title in Prague. Currently ranked no. 82, the German hasn’t won a title since 2004 (Bastad).
This time the German won the title coming straight from the qualifications playing for eight consecutive days. In the final, Mona defeated Krystina Pliskova 2-6 7-5 6-2.
After the match, the German commented “I can’t believe it. Somehow, I made it. I’m completely exhausted.”
That’s what we mean earning a title!
