The Romanian has recovered from her knee injury that has dented the beginning of the season, and she has now impressed in Madrid when winning the Tiebreak Tens in style.

Simona has won the event after beating Jo Konta (10-2), Monica Puig (10-5), Svetlana Kuznetsova (10-6).

Halep has pocketed a handsome $200,000 check after winning this competition. Next, the Premier event in Madrid where she is one of the top favorites for the title.
