Simona has won the event after beating Jo Konta (10-2), Monica Puig (10-5), Svetlana Kuznetsova (10-6).

Halep has pocketed a handsome $200,000 check after winning this competition. Next, the Premier event in Madrid where she is one of the top favorites for the title.
