Carlos Alcaraz’s coach, Juan Carlos Ferrero, has responded to widespread speculation about his health. His absence from recent tournaments led to rumors suggesting he was battling cancer.

Ferrero addressed the issue directly, stating: “During this last days there have been many fake news and rumors about my health, saying that I’m suffering from Cancer. I want to be clear: This is completely fake.”

He expressed concern over the misuse of serious health topics for online engagement: “Moreover than deny it, I would like to express my concern on using such a sensible topics to generate clicks and views. Cancer is a serious disease that has marked my family and many others. This topic deserves maximum respect.”

Call for Responsibility

Ferrero concluded with a message to those spreading misinformation: “I appreciate the supportive messages but, above all, I would like to request responsability to those who spread this kind of information without checking its veracity.”

Despite his temporary absence, Ferrero remains a key figure in Alcaraz’s team. Their partnership has been central to Alcaraz’s rise in the tennis world, and there is no indication of any change in their collaboration.
