Simona Halep was the savior of last weekend in Romania, not only for winning the tense tie against Team GB but also for giving her contribute to calm the crowd after Ilie Nastase was ousted from the Arena after a horrible episode (see article).
Not happy with Nastase
Simona is currently in Stuttgart where she will lay the prestigious WTA premier event. During the pre-tournament press conference, the Romanian didn’t hide her discomfort for what has happened last week to comment
“What he did is wrong, in my opinion. I did not like the way they spoke, and I cannot accept this. I cannot defend, how he treated people was not nice.
I’m not there to tell it how to behave.”
Halep happy to be back on clay. Can’t say whether hard or clay is her “best” surface these days but “On clay I feel at home.” #porschetennis pic.twitter.com/0E82F3MCIv
