“Well of course. I feel like these conditions are quite unique. The court is quite slow at times. Especially with the used balls. It’s gonna be very difficult to get through.. to get past him,” Sinner said when asked if he expects De Minaur to change tactics.

Respect for De Minaur’s evolution

Despite his dominant record, Sinner acknowledged De Minaur’s recent improvements and praised his form throughout the tournament.

“He’s one of the fastest players we have. But again, it’s a great challenge for me. He has improved a lot in the past months. He’s playing some great tennis,” he added.
