Novak Djokovic has officially confirmed his participation at the Shanghai ATP Masters 1000, which will take place from October 6 to 13. The Serbian star, a four-time champion at the event, will return to China as part of the Asian swing, where he has historically enjoyed strong support and success.

A new ATP 250 in Greece

Djokovic will also feature at the newly relocated ATP 250 tournament in Athens, Greece, scheduled for November 2–8, 2025. The event, formerly held in Belgrade as the Serbian Open, has been moved to the OAKA Indoor Hall and will be known as the Hellenic Championship. According to the organizers, “We look forward to welcoming the tennis world to Athens”.

Family involvement and future plans

The Athens tournament is closely tied to Djokovic’s family, who have been involved in its organization since its Belgrade days. The move to Greece marks the country’s first ATP Tour event in 31 years, underlining Djokovic’s influence in bringing top-level tennis back to the region.

ATP Finals still uncertain

While Djokovic’s participation in Shanghai and Athens is confirmed, it remains unclear whether he will compete at the ATP Finals later in the year. His decision will likely depend on his physical condition and scheduling priorities as the season reaches its climax.
