Sascha Zverev has an emphatic start of his Monte Carlo campaign after he defeated Andreas Seppi 6-1 6-2 in just 68 minutes. In the opening set, Sascha broke Seppi 3 times to conquer the opener in just 27 minutes. In the second set there was a match only in the first four games (2-2), then the German cruised and won the following four games.

After the match, Sascha commented
“I like playing on clay. It’s the surface I grew up on. In Europe, you play most of the season on clay. I actually don’t know what my favorite surface is, and I don’t actually have a least favorite surface. It more depends on how I play during the time. It more depends on which form I’m in, more than the surface.”
Sascha will play either Feliciano Lopez or Daniil Medvedev in the second round. Then he may face Nadal in the third.
