Djokovic: “Happy with my elbow”

Novak Djokovic didn’t have the best start of the season also because he suffered an injury to his right elbow.

The world no.2 decided not to compete in Miami to take some rest and apparently that gave him the opportunity to recover properly.

Happy with my elbow

During an interview with atpworldtour.com, Nole commented

“The elbow is fine now. I’ve been training for the past couple of weeks, playing Davis Cup and making the transition to clay that’s very demanding for the body. I was skeptical of how my elbow would react to the heavy balls on clay, but it’s been good so far.

I’ve paid a lot of attention to recovery since having to miss Miami and am now in shape to compete. My Davis Cup match went really well. It was my best serving match in the past six or seven months, so hopefully, it can keep going well here.”

Djokovic is currently in Monte Carlo where he will face Simon in the opener. The head to head is 10-1 for the Serbian.
