ATP RANKINGS. Dimitrov inches from the top10.

Last week we had only two tournaments in Marrakech and Houston, but giving the fact that last year’s Monte Carlo points are already dropped, we have some interesting moves in the rankings.

Dimitrov

Grigor had a disappointing campaign in Marrakech where he lost in the opener against Robredo. But with Monfils dropping five places (he lost 600 points because he was the runner-up in the Principality last year), Grigor is now ranked 11. The Bulgarian is just 25 points shy from world no.10 Jo-Wilfried Tsonga.

Sock

The American no.1 reached the semi-final in Houston to climb two places and be ranked no.14 (career high).

Nishikori

Kei took advantage of the fact that Nadal lost 1000 points (he is the defending champion in Monte Carlo); the Japanese gains two places and he is back to be the world no.5

Coric

After winning the title in Marrakech, Borna climbs 30 places to be the new world no.49. Much more to come.

Escobedo

The upcoming American reached the semi-final in Houston after beating John Isner in a passionate match that was solved after three tiebreaks. After his run in Texas, the youngster goes up 18 places in the rankings to be the new world no.73 (career high). More to come.
