Nishioka’s 2017 is over after ACL surgery

The Japanese had to stop a good start of the season.

Horrible news from Yoshito Nishioka that is not expected to play the rest of 2017 following his operation to his left knee.

The Japanese no.2 started his season in style after reaching the quarters in Acapulco and the 4th round in Indian Wells where he served for the match against Stan Wawrinka after upsetting Berdych. Eventually, Yoshito had to retire from his match in Miami when he was leading the American no.1 Jack Sock 4-2 after suffering from his knee injury.

The operation

Nishioka has to endure an operation to fix his torn ACL to comment

“I had never injured my legs so I didn’t know what was going on with my knee. I also didn’t feel that much pain so I thought, ‘No problem to keep playing. I don’t know yet when I can come back on the ATP World Tour, but I’m already excited to be back and I want to be back soon is possible.”

Good Luck Yoshito.
