Schiavone conquers the title in Bogota’

Francesca is one of the most passionate tennis players on tour; the Italian decided to play her last season this year, but she wanted to do it in style. Francesca wins her 8th career title in Bogota’ without dropping a single set on the way.

       

 

The final

After winning the firs set, Francesca had to recover a 3-5 deficit in the second set to save 3 set points before conquering four consecutive games. Eventually, the Italian won the contest 6-4 7-5.

Francesca explained that she had to endure a lot in this final to comment

“There wasn’t a big difference between us. It was very close.

Play in this altitude is difficult, in the second set, it was hard because she started to play well. But she had a little injury in her leg, so I started to move her around the court, and perform my backhand to ensure the victory.”
