The 2025 Laver Cup is set to ignite in San Francisco, where the world’s top tennis talents have gathered for a week of fierce competition and camaraderie. Players from Team Europe and Team World posed together ahead of the event, showcasing unity before the rivalry resumes on court. The Chase Center, home of the Golden State Warriors, will host the three-day spectacle from September 19 to 21.

“We’re here to compete, but also to celebrate the sport we love,” said Carlos Alcaraz, who leads Team Europe alongside Alexander Zverev. The photo session captured both teams in high spirits, dressed in their signature blue and red kits, ready to represent their continents.

Team Europe arrives with depth and experience

Team Europe features a formidable lineup: Carlos Alcaraz, Alexander Zverev, Holger Rune, Casper Ruud, Jakub Menšík, Flavio Cobolli, and Tomas Machac. With five Top 20 players and rising stars like Menšík and Cobolli, the squad blends experience with youthful energy.

“Representing Europe with these guys is a dream come true,” said Menšík, who will make his Laver Cup debut. Under the leadership of captain Yannick Noah and vice-captain Tim Henman, Europe aims to defend its title and extend its lead in the overall series.

Team World brings firepower and fresh faces

Team World counters with Taylor Fritz, Alex de Minaur, Francisco Cerúndolo, Alex Michelsen, João Fonseca, Reilly Opelka, and Jenson Brooksby. Despite several late withdrawals, the team remains competitive, with Fritz and de Minaur anchoring the lineup and Fonseca making his debut.

“Putting on the red shirt and stepping out to represent Team World is a great honor,” said Cerúndolo, who returns for his third Laver Cup. Led by captain Andre Agassi and vice-captain Pat Rafter, Team World is determined to reclaim the trophy on home soil.

Anticipation builds for a high-stakes showdown

With both teams stacked and the atmosphere in San Francisco electric, expectations are high. The players have already begun team practices, media rounds, and gala events, setting the stage for a weekend of drama and elite tennis.

“This event is unlike anything else in tennis,” said Zverev. “It’s intense, emotional, and every point counts.”

The Laver Cup format rewards teamwork and strategy, with singles and doubles matches contributing to the final score. The first team to reach 13 points will be crowned champion.

As the players prepare to take the court, fans around the world are ready for a clash that blends rivalry, respect, and unforgettable moments.
