Simona Halep and Johanna Konta are among the big names that are invited to play the Tie Break Ten ahead of the Madrid Open in May.
The Tiebreak Ten is an interesting concept that makes eight players clash in a tiebreak played over 10 points. The winner takes the entire prize ($250,000).
The confirmed players in Madrid are Garbine Muguruza, Agnieszka Radwanska, Monica Puig, Simona Halep, Jo Konta, Madison Keys, and Maria Sharapova. The 8th player has still to be announced.
On the men’s side, we will have David Ferrer, Feliciano Lopez, Fernando Verdasco, Grigor Dimitrov, Kei Nishikori, Lucas Pouille, and Stan Wawrinka. Also, in this case, the 8th player has to be announced.
