Why I am very happy with 2017. NADAL

Rafael Nadal hasn’t won a title yet in 2017, but he has reached three prestigious finals in Melbourne, Acapulco, and Miami. Also, the King of Clay has a remarkable 19-5 win-loss record this year, and he is approaching the clay season in top form.

Things got better than expected. NADAL

During a recent interview, Rafa commented

“Since the beginning of the year, everything has gone better than expected. I am very happy about the first part of the season on hard courts before the clay arrives. I won a lot of matches. I have a lot of points.”

I am still defending a lot of points on clay the next four tournaments, especially the first three ones, but I won a lot of points during the first part of the season, so that helps.”

I am very excited to play on clay

This is the first time in 3 years that Rafa starts the season on clay injury-free. The Mallorcan commented

“Always when I am playing this well, on clay always helps a little bit more for me. So, I am very excited about playing on clay again.”

Rafa will start the campaign on the dirt next week in Monte Carlo where he has won the title already nine times, and he is the current defending champion.
