Federer, Nadal advance in the rankings

Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal have been the big surprises of the season, and they are moving rapidly in the rankings. Roger and Rafa are no.1 and no.2 in the year to date rankings, and they gain two positions in the “traditional rankings” to be respectively no.4 and no.5.

The American Army

Regarding the other movers, the American “army” had a fantastic week. Jack Sock gains two places, and he is now world no.15 (career high).

After reaching the 4th round in Miami, Jared Donaldson gains 20 places to be the new world no.75 (career high).

Frances Tiafoe reached the 2nd round in Miami to gain 12 places (back in the top100) and be ranked no.86.

Finally, Ernesto Escobedo breaks in the top100 after he also reached the Miami second round. He is now ranked no.96 (career high).
