PLISKOVA

Karolina reaches the semi-final in Miami to become the new world no.1 in the year to date rankings. The Czech has already won 2 tournaments this year (Brisbane and Doha), and she has a serious shot at becoming the new world n.1 also in the “traditional” rankings.

KONTA

The Brit no.1 is having a fantastic run in 2017. Jo has won Sydney and now Miami; also, she had a great performance in Melbourne where she was stopped only in the quarters by Serena Williams. Jo is now ranked no.2 in the year to date rankings, and she is very close to Pliskova.

SERENA 

The American is not playing because of an injury; therefore, she is going down in the YTD rankings. She is now no.4.
