Sock convinced he can beat Nadal

Jack Sock is definitely playing the best tennis of his career. The American no.1 has won 2 tournaments this year, and he is finding a great continuity in his results after reaching at least the quarters in the last four ATP1000.

Jack has now a solid 18-3 win/loss record in 2017, and he got to the final 8 in Miami without conceding a single set.

Sock will play Rafael Nadal in the quarters, and he is extremely confident that he can beat the Spanish legend.

WHY I can beat Nadal

During a recent interview, Jack commented

“I will definitely be looking forward to it, be excited about the battle.

We played in Beijing couple years ago as well. Lost in three sets. Actually, had a decent amount of chances there in the third. Might have even been up a break early or had a lot of break points early in the third.

Yeah, I played in his backyard a few years ago, the French. He felt very comfortable will. I think we’re both comfortable on clay or hard. Yeah, either way, should be a good battle; should be fun.

I’ll definitely give myself a lot more chance to win this time around than maybe I did a few years ago. I’m 24 years old now and been on tour for a while. I’m playing these matches and hoping I can win and go in believing I can win for sure.”

The head to head

Rafa leads 2-0, ut he has always conceded a set to the American in the previous two encounters. If Jack finds his range against Nadal, he can definitely pull an upset.

Game on.
