Zverev upsets Wawrinka

Alexander Zverev does it again!

The German rising star defeated Stan Wawrinka in last year’s final in St. Petersburg before winning his maiden ATP title. On Tuesday, the pair had to clash again in Miami (4th round), and Sascha found his way once more against Stan.

After losing the first set, the German displayed an amazing aggressive tennis to win the last two sets without much struggling. The final result was a surprising 4-6 6-2 6-1, and the contest ended after 1 hour and 44 minutes.

What I had to change. ZVEREV

In the press conference after the match, Sascha admitted that he had to change something to win this match. The German commented

“I had to be aggressive. I felt like he was the one controlling all the points all the time, so I had to change that. It worked out well for me. Happy to be in the quarter-finals now. Hopefully, I can play as great as I did today.”

Zverer will face either Goffin or Kyrgios in the quarters.
