Benoit Paire is one of the most talented and erratic players on tour. The Frenchman has surprised a lot in Miami after he demolished three rackets during his victorious match against Klizan.
Benoit threw his racket on court already three times in 6 games (at the third time the first racket was gone); then the Frenchman broke another couple.
The curious thing is that eventually Paire won 7-6 (4) 6-3 and his opponent, Klizan, is not a bad player.
Benoit will play Cuevas in the next round. Expect some more annihilation.
After the match, Paire commented
“I’m a little bit injured for six weeks now and they know how I feel—not a lot of confidence. So OK, I broke some racquets, I’m really sorry for that, but the most important thing is to win some matches and to have another match.”
