Nick Kyrgios has just experienced one of his epic and controversial meltdowns in Cincinnati when he was playing against Karen Khachanov.
It is notorious that the Australian is not in great terms with the umpire of that match, Fergus Murphy, as there is a history between them. Something was simmering from the beginning, and eventually Kyrgios exploded during the encounter. Murphy kept his cool during Nick’s antics even if the world no.27 kept on insulting him. Later Kyrgios was slapped with a tough $113,000 fine for his behaviour.
Kyrgios, the time violation, and Rafael Nadal
Kyrgios fumed when in the 1st game of the deciding set he had a warning for a time violation. The Australian is notoriously fast in between serve, and he couldn’t stand that warning to comment
“So you’re telling me that Rafa plays that quick? Every service point, that quick?
Every time? That’s hilarious, bro. That’s hilarious. Rafa’s playing that quick? I missed the ball; the guy starts the clock.
Bro, if Rafa plays that quick, I’m retiring from tennis. Absolute rubbish, rubbish. Disgrace. Get me some footage of Rafa playing that quick; I’ll shut my mouth and never speak again.
This sport’s biased as shit.”
"Absolute rubbish…Disgrace."

Nadal 28 seconds slower than Kyrgios
Nick couldn’t resist posting on Social Media a video of him a Rafa serving in a similar situation. It took 28 seconds more for Rafa to serve than Kyrgios in that specific footage. The Australian received the warning, while Rafa didn’t.”
