Federer beats Sock to reach the Indian Wells final

Roger Federer amazes again!

The Swiss legend beats Sock in straight sets to reach the Indian Wells final. Roger hasn’t dropped a single set in the entire tournament, and he played a fantastic tennis in the last two matches against Nadal and Sock.

The semi-final

Roger started in great fashion to win five consecutive games from the third game to win the opener 6-1 from a 1-1 a scoreline. In the first set, the Maestro was exceptionally sharp, especially with his one-two combinations. In the second set, the American stepped up; Sock was charging more at the net, and he was much more aggressive with his deadly forehand. Eventually, the set went to the breaker that Roger won at 4. The final score was 6-1 7-6 (4), and the match lasted just 1 hour and 74 minutes.

It was a good feeling to win in two. FEDERER

After the match, Roger commented,

“I definitely played great in the first set. I came out and really saw the ball well… The second set was more of what I expected the first set to be, to be quite honest, before the match. It was hard to break and return well off Jack’s heavy serve. Things got a bit more complicated, but it was definitely a good feeling to get through in two sets and to be back in another final here.”

The final vs. Wawrinka

Roger will play his dear friend Stan Wawrinka in the final. The head to head is 19-3 for Roger (8-0 for the Maestro on hard courts).
