American no.1 Jack Sock reaches the semi-final in Indian Wells

Jack Sock keeps on rising.

The American no.1 is having a fantastic campaign in Indian Wells after reaching the semi-final following his win over Kei Nishikori. After splitting the first two sets, Jack and Kei engaged in a real dogfight in the decider when they had to fight hard in every single game. Eventually, it was the American to win the third after breaking Kei a couple of times. The final score was 6-3 2-6 6-2. The match ended after  1 hour and 48 minutes. This is the first top5 win for the American.

After the contest, Jack commented

“To get my first semi at one of my favorite tournaments of the year, it feels very special to play in front of the home crowd. It’s so great here. They really get behind you and support not only me, but all of the Americans as well. Just to advance and keep going, play another match, feels good.”


The semi-final against Federer

Jack will face Roger Federer in the semi-final. The head to head is 2-0 for Roger that is the hot favorite to access the final.
