Federer to remain world no.1 in YTD rankings

Roger Federer keeps on saying that he is still on his comeback trail, but his results and his amazing performance doesn’t reflect that.

Roger has just demolished his nemesis Rafael Nadal in Indian Wells, and this means that the Maestro will definitely stay at the top of the year to date rankings after this week.

Why Roger will stay at world no.1 (YTD)

Roger is leading the rankings with a 500pts advantage over Rafael Nadal. That means that the closest player to Roger in the year to date rankings that is still alive in the desert is now Dominic Thiem that is 1095pts away from Roger. That is obviously too much for the Austrian to take the lead as the winner of this event will get maximum 1000pts.

Here the actual list of the top30 in the YTD rankings. The ones highlighted in green are the players chasing Roger that are still running in the desert  (Kyrgios and Cuevas are outside this top30 for now.
