That was a weird idea!

The organization of the ATP250 in Atlanta has decided to organize an exhibition ahead of the tournament between two top players (ladies!). Therefore, Genie Bouchard and Venus Williams have accepted to take part of the exhibition to play on July the 23rd.

“We’ve always wanted to be a mini-U.S. Open, and we’ve always been asked if you really want to be a mini-U.S. Open, when are you going to add women?” the director Eddie Gonzalez commented. “That’s really what planted the seed for us, to keep growing, to keep getting better and better.”

Genie and Venus have already played each other twice, the head to head is 1-1.
