Petra Kvitova has been (oddly) unlucky a couple of months ago when she was attacked in her house by a guy that eventually slashed her left hand. Besides the fact that that was a horrifying experience, the Czech has risked her career after the episode (she is a lefty), and she is now trying to recover. Unfortunately, Petra had to withdraw from the tour for some time, and she was obviously unavailable to play the tournament in Indian Wells.
The Organisation had a very nice touch to dedicate a billboard to Petra wishing her a good recovery. Fantastic stuff.
