Lesya Tsurenko wins a surprising title in Acapulco after beating Kristina Mladenovic 6-1-7-5 in the final.

The Ukraine won the first set very easily after grabbing a decisive 5-0 lead. Things got a bit complicated in the second set after eight consecutive breaks (both players lost four consecutive service games). Eventually, Tsurenko found another decisive break in the 11^th game to hold the serve and conquer this title after a straight-sets win.

After the match, Leysia reflected on her perfect record in the finals (3-0). Tsurenko won the title in Guangzhou in 2016 and Istanbul in 2015. The Ukraine commented
