Tomic has just started his tournament in Rome defeating qualifier Giraldo in 3 sets 4-6 6-2 6-4 in 2 hours. The Australian is still struggling a bit to find his form on the dirt and he will have huge problems in his next match with Djokovic.
Monfils
Gael Monfils is trying to fight back after his shocking defeat in Madrid at the hands of Berdych (6-1 6-1). In Rome he redirected his frustration against Bogolomov Jr to defeat him in 79 minutes 6-4 6-1. Gael will play Ferrero in the next round and he is in a collision course with Federer… if the Swiss is going to play (see article)
Isner
Isner had some troubles to down Kohlschreiber that is back to his top form. The German won the BMW Open in Munich a couple of weeks ago (article) and he is trying to get back in the top 20 as soon as he can. Big John lost the firs set 6-2 to regroup and win the other 2 sets 7-6 (3) 6-2. He will play Andreas Seppi in the next round.
