Will Federer play in Rome?

Roger has just landed in Rome for the  Internazionali BNL d’Italia.

The Swiss Maestro is still elated about his recent title in Madrid (click here for all the highlights), but he is unsure he can make it in Rome due to his physical condition.

Roger said he has to listen to his body to understand if he can play.

“We’ll see how I feel over the next few days. I still have a couple of days to see how I feel and take it from there. he said “It’s been a tough week, the body feels it when you come back from six weeks. It does hurt a bit so I just have to make sure I make the right decision come Tuesday, Wednesday. I hope I can play.”

The Swiss Maestro should play  Carlos Berloq in his opener. On the paper this is not a difficult match for Roger. If the match would not be too taxing on his body (let’s say a 1 hour match), it may be ok to play also to start to get tuned to the traditional clay for the Roland Garros.

But you know what? If he won’t play, he will have a nice icecream in Rome!
