Roger Federer is one of the most celebrated athletes in history. At 38 years of age, the Swiss is still very well at the top of the sport living a unique life and traveling all over the world.

The world no.3 is well aware that he is not conducting a “normal life.” Besides his frequent trips all over the world, he can’t go unnoticed anywhere. Once he made a joke that he liked when he was at the Eiffel Tower because for once people were not paying too much attention to him.

The Swiss sensation is also a very attentive father and he wants to do “ordinary things” with his kids. For these reasons, he agreed with Mirka to spend some time together on a caravan with their kids in Switzerland.

Federer and his “normality”

Roger is currently in Cincinnati where he will try to have a deep run. During a lovely interview in Ohio, he commented

“On Monday we had rented a caravan and my kids wanted to sleep in it right away. So on Monday night I slept in the caravan and woke up on Tuesday morning ever felt like half broken from a bad night’s sleep and from the match and the tournament and the pressure going away, but so we went caravanning we had a great time.”

Later, talking about his birthday, Roger commented:

“We were up in the Swiss mountains and just had a simple celebration. My wife made a cake for me and the kids loved it. They helped me blow out the candles and we went for a hike that day and had some friends over. So it was very mellow at this time, very nice.”
