American golfer Adam Scott is heavily drawn to all that Roger Federer does including his charity work. The Swiss always cares so much about the underprivileged and once said: “It’s so nice to give back and you realize giving back makes me happier than receiving for sure, I thought that by starting early and learning by doing it, it would really set up things nicely and they did and in the beginning, I would not say I had no clue but I have also been inspired by the Tour that had a partner charity in UNICEF.”

“And I was able to become the global ambassador for UNICEF and then eventually I realized I want to do something that was mine, my legacy maybe”, said Roger.

Scott found every word of Roger admirable to the core and was impressed with his clarity of thoughts on helping the lesser privileged.

Scott speaking to the world no.3 said: “What you do is incredibly admirable and to see it through your career. You have obviously learned to balance out so many things and just talking about not having a lot of sleep and then performing”.

“But then there is a lot of responsibilities I can see you are a guy who does not take it lightly when you say this to you are gonna see and on the other side of the earth”, said the Golfer.

During the interaction, Roger replied saying: “You are writing your story now, you can be so proud, it’s great and there is still so much to come. It should be exciting for both of us, really”.

Scott further added to Federer’s statement and said: “I think that’s certainly one of the exciting things looking beyond my golf career”.

According to Adam, he felt that charity demands a lot of commitment and he that feels privileged to have been introduced to the acts of philanthropy through the PGA Tour.

One of the prime reasons he said, for never understanding the relevance of helping impoverished people, as much, is because he spent his childhood in Australia and the place he grew up had negligible poverty.

However, better late than never and the American golfer spoke that after coming to the United States, and during the tour, he understood that giving to the community was vital and self-satisfying.

He admitted saying: “how important in certain communities to give back and you do an incredible job, which has inspired me to start a Foundation in Australia and we work very quietly, behind the scenes on children’s education”.

Both Federer and Adam are on their way to make this world a better place and this was pretty evident from all that the Golfer had to say.

Further including to his admission, he said that: “Surrounding yourself with people who are interesting, these things are important and philanthropic mindset is great. It’s a really nice way to pay back all the good fortune that I feel like I have been given”.

“Hopefully, one day when I will no longer be on the golf tour I will be back there to make a great platform and we will already have made a difference rather than wait till I get back there if I do and start at that point”, concluded the American golfer.
