Roger Federer has delighted his fans after winning an unexpected 18th slam at the recent Australian Open after coming back from a long hiatus. So, since the Swiss legend is 35, he has won everything, and he will probably be remembered as the greatest… why not retiring after his last triumph?
Why I decided not to retire. FEDERER
Roger was a bit tempted to call it a career soon after Melbourne to comment “I guess in a faraway place it did cross my mind: How could I ever top this?”; then he explained why he decided to keep on competing
“But then again, the joy was so big, and I kept on watching the reaction of my team when I won the match point in Australia and how they were jumping for joy. Unbelievable. So much fun. I feel like I want to go through it again.”

Roger has just signed a contract with the ATP500 in Basel that he will play there for the next three seasons. Will that be the perfect place to call it a career in 2019?
