Bernard Tomic has made a name for being a big “tanker” at times. Yesterday in Delray Beach he didn’t do much to prove the contrary against Darcis.
What happened?
The Australian won the opening set in style after grabbing a fast 4-0 lead. Then, in the second set, he looked completely off just out of the blue to lose the set 6-1 after scoring just 8 points. In the decider, after conquering a 4-1 lead, Tomic looked sort of unwilling to finish off the match to drop five consecutive games. Finally, Darcis won the contest 3-6 6-1 6-4.
In the below video you can see the shocking lack of interest of the Australian to play at his best.
