If you think that Roger Federer will retire this year or the following one, think again!

The Swiss sensation has just signed his presence to the ATP500 in Basel for the next three events.

Roger has won the title in Basel 7 times (2006, 2007, 2008, 2010, 2011, 2014, and 2015) and he was the runner-up five times (2000, 2001, 2009, 2012, and 2013). The Maestro wasn’t able to play last year after he decided to stop his season after Wimbledon.

Roger commented

“I cannot wait to return to my home country in the autumn. Playing in Basel is always a highlight of the year.”

This year the tournament will take place from October 23-29. The last time he played in Basel was when he defeated Rafael Nadal in the 2015 final.
