Grigor Dimitrov was probably not expecting to win and play so many matches at the beginning of the season as the Bulgarian has already played 18 matches in 47 days (with a slam in it). Yesterday in Rotterdam, Grigor imploded in the decider against Goffin, and he decided to take a break and not to play the upcoming tournament in Marseille to be ready for Indian Wells (scheduled for the 6th of March).
It’s important to stay healthy. DIMITROV
Grigor explained his decision
“For the first time in my career, I have won so many matches in a short period. I had to get used to it because three days ago I was playing the final in Sofia. It’s going very quick. The most important is to stay healthy and to do the right things.”
That was a good decision.
